Inviting other to Join Session

While you are working in a wave-vs.net Collaboration Session you can invite others Developers to Join using this Option.

Discuss using Conference Room

It is possible to Setup a Conference Room with all current Session Participants in just two mouse clicks.

Additionally you can invite other people that are not currently working on this Collaboration Session to this Conference Room.

For instance, you can have a Discussion about what you are implementing, or just discuss with an Architect implementation details while a colleague is working on the code real-time and both of you follow him to see if everything is ok.

Request Editor Lock

For WinForms Designers and Workflow Foundation Designers, (due Microsoft Visual Studio internal architecture), is not possible to modify Design Surface concurrently by different Participants.

For this kind of Project Item there is only one Participant holding an 'Exclusive Lock', (Editor Role), to do work on Project Item.

If you are not in 'Editor Role', then, you are working on 'Viewer Mode', and you have this Action Enabled if you want to modify Project Item content.
Executing this action you are asking to Contact with 'Editor Role' to switch roles with you, of course he must agree so you must wait for he to switch Roles or decline your request.

This Kind of Project Items are the unique not supporting concurrent editing as this can lead to an inconsistent state for Project Item and break Collaboration Session and Project Item as well.
